Klaus Rosburg has been creating lights from ready-made anddiscarded object before. His chandelier made from clear coat hangers andpendant lights made from colored clothespins have been published and featuresin design books and magazines worldwide. It took him 7 years tocollect the packaging of his wife’s disposable contact lenses and to completehis latest work.

Visiting the current LIGHT show at the Museum of NaturalHistory in NY and you might have seen the jellyfish with fluorescent molecule, thegreen fluorescent protein, or GFP. Touch these jellies, and they flash greenlight.
Fascinated by the glow and weightlessness, the Brooklynbased designer drilled, arranged and connected, disconnected and rearranged hundredof the cases to capture the look and mystery of these sea creatures. 500 rivetsand a few blisters later, the chains of cases were transformed into Cnidaria,Creature of Light.
